The UFC's lightweight division has been in question since Khabib Nurmagomedov retired after his previous win. However, with the return of Conor McGregor and a rematch versus Dustin Poirier set for the end of January… do we care?
How can you not enjoy a good ole' rematch, especially one that takes place in a higher weight class six years on? McGregor and Poirier's first encounter took place before either man had captured UFC gold, and long before Conor McGregor elevated the sport into an entertainment setting like no other.
Conor McGregor will return after doing the quick work of Donald Cerrone twelve months ago. Poirier returns following his fight of the year contender' scrap with Dan Hooker. Both men deserve the division's championship-shot. Expect the winner to contend for the title when all is said and done.
A Conor McGregor fight has always provided the goods, and Dustin Poirier has yet to have a boring fight to date. The first matchup was electric, and we should see nothing less in the rematch.
UFC Parlay Pick
With two heavy-handed high-skilled strikers, a twenty-five-minute fight is doubtful. Neither fighter enjoys taking their fight the distance, and I would be surprised not to witness a knockout or even a submission in this contest.
The available UFC odds with Sportsbook Review aren't the most favorable price, but an excellent addition to forcing our parlay into plus money.

The Fight
A new face in the UFC middleweight division has been on a tear in his professional MMA career. Makhmud Muradov has avoided defeat since 2016 and has knocked out sixteen opponents along the way.
2-0 in the UFC, Muradov made easy work of Trevor Smith in his previous outing – the jab dictated the stand-up and the eventual third-round knockout should probably have come sooner. Muradov's faint level changes and constant footwork are something to behold, the knockout power is evident, and even in the third round showing us a beautiful walk-off knockout last time out.
UFC Fight Prediction
The odds on this matchup are quickly fading, Muradov opened as the underdog, and the betting public has taken the great price early on. Andrew Sanchez is no slouch, and the line should not drift too far, but I'd instead not take the risk of losing any more value.
Sanchez has nothing to offer Muradov that he has not already dealt with. The win streak is hot, and who are we to step in front of it?
